CTET September 2026 Online Form : Eligibility Details

Level	Eligibility Criteria
Level-1 (Class 1-5)	Candidates must have 12th Pass and a D.El.Ed / JBT / B.El.Ed / D.Ed. teaching qualification.
Level-2 (Class 6-8)	Candidates must have a Graduation Degree along with B.Ed or B.El.Ed qualification.

Paper I (for Classes I to V) Primary Stage; Duration of examination-Two-and-a-half hours
Structure and Content (All Compulsory): (Appendix I)

1 Child Development and Pedagogy (compulsory)	30 MCQs	30 Marks
2 Mathematics (compulsory)	30 MCQs	30 Marks
3 Environmental Studies (compulsory)	30 MCQs	30 Marks
4 Language I (compulsory)	30 MCQs	30 Marks
5 Language II (compulsory)	30 MCQs	30 Marks
Total	150 MCQs	150 Marks

Paper II (for Classes VI to VIII) Elementary Stage: Duration of examination-Two-and-a-half hours

Structure and Content (All Compulsory): (Appendix I)

(i) Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory)	30 MCQs	30 Marks
(ii) Mathematics and Science	60 MCQs	60 Mark
(for Mathematics and Science teacher)
